Application Deadline: November 15, 2021.

We are delighted to announce that applications are now open for our Mawulisa Fellowship program. The program aims to enhance and strengthen the capacity of young and emerging LGBT+ women activists and organizations to design and implement practical projects that seek to address issues facing their communities.

Through training and a $5000 grant, Fellows are empowered to implement small-scale projects to benefit their communities and address priority issues they highlight. The fellowship program is built on the premise that communities affected by specific issues are best placed to deal with them and that effective and sustainable advancement of LGBT+ rights in Africa will be achieved by leveraging the passion, innovation, and unique skills of emerging leaders. Who is Eligible?

The Mawulisa Fellowship project is for independent activists who have never received funding to implement projects in their country and who are between 18 and 35 years old.

We do not accept applications from organizations or organizational leaders.
