Queerbinar is a dynamic quarterly webinar series specifically curated to address and discuss emerging and diverse lived realities and experiences of young African LGBTQI+ individuals. We recognise the importance of ongoing dialogue and engagement to promote community understanding, support, and empowerment.
Our platform fosters continuous interaction, stimulates meaningful conversations, and provides a space for critical discussions on a wide range of subjects that directly impact the lives of young LGBTQI+ individuals across Africa. Safe Queers
We designed SafeQueers for queer individuals and activists to access and use, especially for LGBTQI+ youths and communities in hard-to-reach areas. It provides security and safety tips and guidance for queer youths, activists and organisations on staying safe online. The website runs on slow internet speed. It also has an offline version that can be downloaded and printed as booklets for distribution. The built-in translation capabilities support multiple languages, ensuring accessibility to everyone.
Opportunity Point
Curated by the African Queer Youth Initiative, Opportunity Point is a one-stop shop for opportunities that would benefit LGBTQI+ youth in Africa. These opportunities include grants, internships, education, jobs, fellowships, human rights courses, mentorship, etc.
