Do you have a vision for a truly LGBTQIA+ inclusive Africa?
My vision as a queer African living in Africa would be one where individuals who identify as LGBTQIA+ are free to express themselves without fear of persecution, discrimination, or violence. A place where you can hold your partner’s hand and walk in the streets without prying eyes. A place where you can celebrate your love without looking over your shoulder. That’s the vision I have for an LGBTQIA+ inclusive – Africa.
This IDAHOBIT, I will give back to the community by attending a fundraising vogue ball and being surrounded by queer people from all walks of life with different stories. It doesn’t get better than that!
