Can you tell us about an instance when someone was an effective ally to you and how it made you feel?
Usually, we respond to the question are you ok with just okay but recently, a friend of mine asked that question in a way that created a safe space for sharing beyond just being ok. In that moment, I was not afraid to be vulnerable and became re-energised to face the world.
Every day I recognise my privilege and use that to listen even to conversations that do not intersect with my struggles.
